The steaming should stop once the milk reaches 140F. Tap the jug gently for any small bubbles to be removed. Next, swirl the milk around. It should look like melted ice cream.

Step 5 Pour

There are two phases in the pour. You should aim for the first pour to go into the coffee. Then, you can add cream milk to your coffee. The final pour glides on the microfoam and creates Latte Art. However, it takes lots of practice to make a perfect cup of rosetta or a perfect-looking tulip.

Pulling Area Air For Too Long

The initial process to pull air into the milk is quick and takes less than a minute. When you hear the milk squeezing, you know you are pulling too much air. Large bubbles will form and cause the foam to crackle.

Pulling The Air Too Late

Another common mistake is trying too late to pull the air. The magic happens from the beginning. It is much easier to make foam once the milk is warm.

Milk Overheating

Another tip is that you should continue moving the milk pitcher after you have removed it from the steamer. This will ensure that the milk doesn’t become foamy.
